The Springfield-Hampden County CoC has released a Request for Proposals seeking a partner to operate a new Rapid Rehousing program in Hampden County. Following an award in last year’s funding round, the CoC is making available $712,198 (annual award) to operate a rapid rehousing program to provide up to two year’s rental assistance and supportive services to homeless individuals and couples.
The focus of this new RRH program is older adults and people with disabilities, both populations with the ability to transition to public or subsidized housing. Use of a RRH model will assist these individuals to get out of shelter and off the streets quickly and be able to be successfully rehoused before the expiration of the two years of RRH assistance. The RFP will be looking for a provider interested in specializing in meeting the housing and support needs of this population.
The RFP is available here. Applications are due October 30, 2025 at 4 pm.
