The Western MA Network to End Homelessness is pleased to partner with the Raise Up Massachusetts Coalition as part of the Invest in Our Recovery campaign to host a legislative briefing about the urgent need to pass a just recovery for people experiencing housing instability and homelessness.

Rose Webster-Smith, lead organizer of Springfield No One Leaves, will speak to the long-standing need for greater investment in affordable housing, made all the more urgent by the impending eviction crisis as the eviction moratorium comes to an end.

As Raise Up puts it: “These briefings will send a clear message to our elected officials about the choice in front of them. Our lawmakers can choose to let deep budget cuts drive us deeper into a recession that deepens racial and economic inequities, OR they can raise new revenue through progressive taxes on large profitable corporations and their wealthy shareholders to invest in an equitable recovery that fund public services, improves public health, grows our economy, and reduces racial inequality.”
