Homes for All MA is spearheading this sign-on letter that is at the core of the Network’s mission: to prevent and end homelessness. Please see below, please sign on your organization and please spread the word!

Please sign on to this new public letter calling for Massachusetts to act quickly to prevent COVID-19 evictions and foreclosures.

This is urgent: Federal protections against eviction and foreclosure expire on July 31, but the Mass Legislature has not even set a hearing date for the COVID-19 Housing Equity bill… despite the clear urgency and the nearly 70 cosponsors on this critical legislation. Sign now and show where your organization stands!

In MA over 18,000 eviction cases have been filed since October and around 90% (!) of rent assistance applications are being denied by a dysfunctional system. 28,000+ homeowners are over 90 days behind on mortgage payments and vulnerable to foreclosure.

We need our state to act NOW, and that will only happen if allies across the state raise our voices and organize. Please take one step right now by signing on to this letter and sharing this message with allies.

If this preventable wave of displacement is allowed to take place, it will deepen the inequities that were already exposed and exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. We can’t let that happen!

In solidarity,
Homes for All Massachusetts
