On February 27, the Network convened legislators across 4 counties to present and discuss its legislative priorities for the 2023-2024 Legislative Session and preliminary FY24 budget priorities.

We gathered by county – Hampden, Hampshire/Franklin and Berkshire – over 60 Network partners and 22 state legislators and staff – to share our recommendations for urgent action to prevent and end homelessness.

Thanks to our Network partners who represented every sector of our community: shelter providers, housing developers, community colleges, health care providers, career centers, community action agencies, United Ways, community coalitions and cities and towns. We reflected the shared commitment across our region to make change happen.

And thanks to our Western Massachusetts legislators and their staff for giving their time and attention. We look forward to supporting their work ahead to make these priorities the laws of the Commonwealth.

Please stay tuned for next action steps!
