On Wednesday, January 28, the Governor released her  proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2027 (FY27).  The news for housing and homelessness is mixed. Some crucial programs got small increases; some level-funded, some cut.  And policies regarding the family shelter system RAFT remain deeply concerning with regard to unmet need.

The Network, working in collaboration with our state partners, determined its highest FY27 budget priorities. We have begun meetings with our western MA legislative delegation to bring home the need in our region and to offer localized data to support the necessary investment.
