Family Connection: Building Systems
to End Family Homelessness Webinar

Ending homelessness for families and children is a priority for the nation and for every community. We know that the experience of homelessness has devastating effects on families and their children. For this reason, the U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness and Federal partners have adopted a vision of an end to family homelessness–that no family will be without shelter, and homelessness in communities across the country will be a rare and brief occurrence.

USICH, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) will host an informational webinar series on Family Connection: Building Systems to End Family Homelessness, an interactive resource designed to help communities and stakeholders build and implement an effective housing crisis response system for families. The first webinar of this series is intended to provide communities and stakeholders with an overview of what we already know about families experiencing homelessness, the Federal vision of an end to homelessness among families, and the key areas of action that we believe are needed to reach that vision.

The following webinars in this series will focus specifically on those key areas of action: coordinated entry, tailored interventions and assistance, connection to mainstream systems, and evidence-based practices.
