The Pioneer Valley Regional Ventures Center has released its Request for Proposals (RFP) for REACH services for chronically homeless individuals in Western Massachusetts.  (REACH is Regional Assessment and Engagement for the Chronically Homeless.)  This RFP seeks intensive supportive services, delivered in a REACH model, for 15 Tier 3 and Tier 4 homeless individuals.  Eligible applicants will be able to provide available affordable housing units within 9 months of contract execution to pair with the services funding.  Funding is available for applicants seeking to provide services and housing a in any location of the four counties of Western Mass, with the exception of Springfield, Northampton and Greenfield.

A similar RFP was released in June 1, 2009, as described here.  As a result of that RFP, two agencies were selected to provide REACH services and housing to 23 individuals.  This second RFP seeks to add an additional 15 units.

The RFP is available at the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission, 26 Central Street – Suite 34, West Springfield, MA 01089, (413) 781-6045, from 9 AM to 5 PM.  Proposals must be submitted no later than 3:00 PM on Friday August 21, 2009 at the Pioneer Valley Regional Ventures Center c/o Pioneer Valley Planning Commission.
