Urge Your Senators to Support Critical THUD Funding Now
Earlier today, the Senate passed the procedural hurdle needed to bring the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies (THUD) bill, S.1243, to the Senate floor. The Senate already started consideration of the THUD bill this afternoon.
The Senate bill would provide $6 billion more in funding for HUD programs than the House THUD bill.
Now is the time to urge your Senator to support S. 1243.
If one or both of your Senators supported bringing S. 1243 to the floor (click here to view the vote record), please contact your Senators to:
  • Thank your Senator(s) for voting to consider S. 1243;
  • Ask your Senator(s) to continue this support and make a floor statement about the importance of HUD programs in your state;
  • Ask your Senator(s) to oppose amendments to reduce HUD funding or harm programs;
  • Ask your Senator(s) to vote for final passage of S. 1243.
If one or both of your Senators did not support bringing the bill to the floor (click here to view the vote record), please contact your Senators to:
  • Ask your Senator(s) to support FY14 THUD funding;
  • Ask your Senator(s) to oppose amendments to reduce HUD funding or harm programs;
  • Ask your Senator(s) to vote for final passage of S. 1243.
