As a result of Governor Patrick’s cut of $2.7 million from the Homeless Individuals Assistance line item (7004-0102):
- It has already been documented that at least 300 shelter beds will be lost statewide.
- It has been documented that at least 30 FTE’s (full-time equivalent staff = jobs) will be lost.
- It has been documented that essential homeless support services will be cut including the funding for more than 10,000 meals.
WE NEED YOUR HELP.
WHAT YOU CAN DO:
Call your State Representative and ask him or her to:
“Please contact the Speaker of the House, Representative DeLeo, to express your support for a restoration of the funding for Line Item 7004-0102 to reverse the impact on the poorest and most disabled people in the Commonwealth.”
