The Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless’ Unaccompanied Youth Task Force invites you to participate in a survey regarding services your organization/agency provides to unaccompanied youth who are experiencing homelessness.

The goal of this survey is to determine the current scope of services available to unaccompanied youth and young adults (ages 14 – 24) who are experiencing homelessness in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and to estimate the current spending statewide on unaccompanied homeless youth.

An unaccompanied homeless youth is defined as a youth who lacks a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence and is not in the physical custody of a parent or guardian or in the custody of a state agency.

The results of this survey will support current legislation to obtain state dollars to support unaccompanied homeless youth.  Please see the attached fact sheet on House Bill 3838 (formerly House Bill1862), An Act Providing Housing and Support Services for Unaccompanied Homeless Youth

Please answer as many questions as you can, through the attached survey or online at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/QPNKWTH. Please also feel free to share this survey with other providers who work with unaccompanied youth. We are looking for responses by January 6, 2012.

Thank you in advance for your participation!

To return the survey or ask any questions, contact Kelly Turley at the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless: [email protected] or 781-595-7570 x17.

Thank you again! We truly appreciate your time and commitment!
