Thanks to Homes for Families for this post from their website:
We would like to share the news and send our congratulations to Ita Mullarkey, on her recent appointment to the position of the Associate Director for the Division of Housing Stabilization (DHS). Below is an email from Rose Evans, Deputy Undersecretary at DHCD: I am pleased to announce that Ita Mullarkey has been appointed to the position of Associate Director for the Division of Housing Stabilization (DHS). Ita has been at DHCD for over 21 years, having worked in the Division of Public Housing and Rental Assistance before joining DHS in 2009. Over the years, Ita has played an integral role in the leadership team, participating in the transfer of the Emergency Assistance shelter system from the Department of Transitional Assistance to DHCD and implementing various homelessness reforms. As many of you know, Ita’s relationships with you and other key stakeholders over the years has resulted in enhanced services for homeless families and a more comprehensive and coordinated approach to services between DHCD, the Department of Public Health, the Department of Children and Families, the Department of Education, local and regional housing agencies, community volunteer groups, and municipalities. In her new position, Ita will report to me and will be responsible for the overall operational functions of the Division with a laser focus on one the Administration’s top priorities, homelessness. |
