We will hear from Community Legal Aid, Springfield No One Leaves and our Regional Housing Authority Directors about what is happening in our communities, including:
- The consequences across the region right now as Notices to Quit are served and Executions to evict are issued
- What the Eviction Diversion Initiative offers and the barriers that currently exist to provide sufficient protection to tenants
- Proposed solutions, both legislative and administrative, that will provide the level of protection necessary to stop further spread of COVID-19
We will look forward to an opportunity to answer our legislators’ questions and have a dialogue about how we can effectively create housing stability during this public health emergency.
