Today, Monday, May 5, the eviction record sealing law that was passed as part of the Affordable Homes Act is going into effect. Massachusetts tenants now have the right to seal their eviction records in certain types of cases, removing a significant barrier to housing access. See the Massachusetts Law Reform Institute press release here.

See a practical guide to tenants and advocates at SealMyEviction.org. Use these outreach flyers in multiple languages to spread the word about the new law in your community.

Learn more Monday, May 19 from 1-3:30, at a Mass Law Reform in-person and webcast training. See the flyer here. Register here: bit.ly/SealingEvictionsBBT2025.

Let’s all get educated together and maximize this opportunity to increase access to housing!
