The Leadership Council of the Western Massachusetts Network to End Homelessness  voted overwhelmingly in favor of the Administration’s proposed Emergency Assistance reform legislation.

The Network has submitted written testimony  to the House and Senate Ways and Means Committee in support of this legislation.  Please click here to read the letter.  The Committee is holding a public hearing scheduled this Friday, March 4,  10 am at the State House Gardner Auditorium in Boston.  Your testimony, in person or in writing, is also welcome.

The Network’s  Family Services Committee hosted Bob Pulster and Ita Mullarkey of DHCD and Liz Curtis of ICHH at a meeting 2 weeks ago to discuss the proposed reform.  It was an excellent discussion, and the Family Services Committee continues to meet to provide input to DHCD to ensure the best outcomes possible for homeless and at-risk families in Western Massachusetts.
