An Announcement from One Family, Inc.:

Dear ICHH Regional Conveners and Leadership Council Members,

We are excited to announce new Regional Faith Based Action Grants!

One Family Inc in partnership with the Episcopal City Mission and the Paul and Phyllis Fireman Charitable Foundation are issuing a Request for Proposals for Regional Faith Based Action Grants.  We are seeking proposals to develop and implement a plan to organize the faith community within local Interagency Council on Housing and Homelessness (ICHH) regional networks across Massachusetts. The goal of this proposal is to support collaborative efforts between ICHH networks and faith based groups who are endeavoring together to bring about an end to homelessness in their region.

The goals of these grants are to:

  • Engage congregations and faith based groups in the work of ending homelessness
  • Leverage additional resources to support the work of the ICHH network
  • Fill in service gaps in your community
  • Broaden the stakeholder base of the regional network
  • Educate a wider audience in the region of the work to end homelessness in Massachusetts

We are seeking 8 to 10 responses that can produce a performance based plan for organizing the faith community within the ICHH regional network. This grant is to provide some dedicated organizational capacity to organizing, educating, and activating the faith community.

Proposals will be accepted from both/either ICHH Regional Coordinating Agencies or faith based groups/congregations. Within the proposal there must be proof of a clear commitment on the part of both parties (faith and regional network) to address this work together.

This information will also be sent to many communities of faith and faith leaders around the Commonwealth but we ask that you please forward this information on to faith communities, organization, and leaders who you think would be interested in applying for this grant.

Application details can be found in the Request for Proposals and Proposal Planning Supplement and questions can be directed to Emily Cohen at (617) 423-0504 X 205 or [email protected] or Katie Campbell Simons at (617) 482-4826 X 224 or [email protected].

 Thank you,

One Family Inc, The Episcopal City Mission, and the Paul and Phyllis Fireman Charitable Foundation
