Tenant Employment in Permanent Supportive Housing

April 13, 2016 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Permanent Supportive Housing offers a stable platform from which tenants can regain a working life. In this workshop we will consider the reasons for making employment services a priority, the benefits to tenant employment and why supported employment is the preferred employment intervention in PSH. Several examples of PSH based employment will illustrate the commitment and strategies organizations use to increase employment outcomes among tenants. Time permitting, consideration will also be given to:  “Vocationalizing” PSH and establishing outcome expectations.
