The Community Impact & Engagement department of the UWPV is focused on building and supporting relationships with a wide range of community partners in order to facilitate, convene, and/or lend assistance to new and established community coalitions, collaborations, and/or partnerships that are in alignment with the UWPV’s mission.  UWPV provides assistance in community planning/development, volunteer development, capacity building, and technical assistance in support of organizational and program development.

The Community Impact Coordinator (Coordinator) assists in the planning and implementation of the UWPV Community Impact agenda in the areas of Education, Income, Health and Basic Needs.  S/he leads the Volunteer Engagement  function in support of UWPV’s community work and serves as the primary resource for community groups, faith-based organizations, businesses, schools, and individuals seeking meaningful volunteer opportunities.  The CI Coordinator also provides administrative coordination in support of the Senior Vice President of the department and other program functions as needed.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as social work, human services, psychology, etc., five or more years of experience working with volunteers including nonprofit volunteer management and online volunteer engagement tools, ability to work within a community with diverse populations, including community groups, business persons, major donors, professional staff and volunteers, and strong administrative management and computer skills.
